This album features eight original songs by Adrian Younge and Ali Shaheed Muhammad, in collaboration with, Roy Ayers, the 1970s godfather of Neo-Soul. Roy Ayers JID002 echoes the sentiments of Ayer's 1970s classic period (which produced the oft-sampled “Everybody Loves The Sunshine,” “Searchin’” and “We Live In Brooklyn, Baby”).
